Marsh Farm Luton

Marsh Farm is a large Radburn housing estate of the late 1960s and 1970s comprising 4000-5000 households set north of Luton. This area is the subject of a large-scale regeneration programme. The practice assisted PRP Architects in the masterplanning and urban design aspects of the regeneration programme. The project involved a major consultation programme, establishing a number of character areas, unpicking the segregation of traffic and pedestrians where appropriate, creating new links to the major transport interchanges and re-establishing a positive mixed-use heart for the area. The area has significant constraints both physical and social.
